Wife Lilian or Lillian

[edit]

Frank's wife is 'Lilian' at External link "Pictures from Kamionka" where their son John is one of two copyright holders. She is 'Lillian' in the NYT obituary that is our main source generally, [ref name=smith]. Without any confidence I made her Lilian consistently, which happens to distinguish her from his biography subject Lillian Roth. --P64 (talk) 21:02, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Selected works, Credited works

[edit]
second of two new sections posted at once -P64

Last fortnight I expanded the list of books, now 11, and inserted this comment.

  • !--2014-02-14 these listings comprise all 10 LCCatalog records for Frank as author or editor, plus I'll Cry Tomorrow as collaborator; LCCat is a source for all including the specific credit to Frank-->

Son John says he wrote at least 17 books including some not credited. The source [ref name=smith] is not clear to me whether those 17 all name him in opening Acknowledgments, at least.

Anyway, if/when we know that our list includes all books by some criterion --such as author or collaborator credit to Gerold Frank, for which LCCatalog may be complete-- then we should say that the list is complete in that sense. Perhaps we should also change the section heading to Credited works.
