[edit]"He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society." is a pass on WP:PROF and his activities starting museums are quite notable. There are way to many links to his writings but that can be pared down in mainspace. Legacypac (talk) 02:39, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Massive trimming seems to have removed the references? Legacypac (talk) 16:39, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

- Hi @EditorAOTB2020: Wikipedia avoids indiscriminate links or interviews in their articles and YouTube is not considered a reliable source. I have therefore declined this request. I have added your paid status to the top of the page so you do not have to declare it if you want to make additional requests. Please post on the help desk or below if you have any questions or concerns. Z1720 (talk) 17:31, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Trimming the content - reference 7-8
[edit]The current “Controversy” section relies solely on two articles from the same outlet (San Francisco Chronicle). Per WP:BLP and WP:UNDUE, this risks giving undue weight to one perspective. Unless other independent, reliable sources corroborate or expand on these events, I propose trimming the section to a single neutral sentence, or moving it into broader context. Jason Quinnn (talk) 03:33, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Jason Quinnn: There is no "Controversy" section? And it is certainly not WP:UNDUE to give this much weight to this event, given the majority of the coverage about him in RS relates to this. As for his perspective, I have no opposition to including his lawsuit and allegations. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 17:41, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
Request to move article to draft space
[edit]Hello, I am requesting that the article on George Jacob be moved to draft space for further editing.
Recent developments have emerged since the last major update, including his resignation as President and CEO of Bay Ecotarium (Aquarium of the Bay) in May 2024 amid financial concerns, and subsequent legal action alleging wrongful termination. These events are covered in reliable, independent sources:
1. San Francisco Chronicle: https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/ceo-aquarium-of-the-bay-sf-forced-resign-19470641.php
2. SF Standard: https://sfstandard.com/2024/10/22/ousted-san-francisco-aquarium-ceo-files-lawsuit/
3. KTVU FOX 2: https://www.ktvu.com/news/san-franciscos-aquarium-bay-get-new-leadership-after-scandal
Moving the article to draft space will allow for a careful review and integration of these updates in accordance with Wikipedia’s content guidelines, ensuring that the article reflects accurate, verifiable, and properly sourced information.
Thank You - and I hope this request is fulfilled so I can go on and further enhance the topic.
