  • ... that Geoff Epstein said that the difference between him and Jeffrey Epstein is that "He's a dead American, and I'm an alive Australian"?
  • Source: Garrity, Kelly (July 29, 2025). "Geoffrey Epstein is running for mayor of a major Boston suburb. Not that Jeffrey Epstein". POLITICO. Retrieved March 19, 2026.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.
Overall: Article was created yesterday and was nominated today, so it is new enough, and is also long enough. The article is properly sourced, uses neutral wording, and is free of copyright violations. Hook is cited and is interesting, and QPQ is done, so this is good to go. Unfortunately, neither the nominator nor the reviewer have been able or willing to identify what is a plain distortion of a sentence in the source, making this DYK clickbait (not to mention the BLP aspect). There is a world of difference between 'the difference' (which implies the only (significant) difference) and 'a difference' (i.e. one of potentially many (significant) differences').--Anonymous44 (talk) 14:03, 26 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
