Hi, sorry for not answering sooner. In the definition, there is no problem when g is a real Lie algebra. Further, all the properties of GVM homomorphisms are true for komplex representations of real Lie algebras, because the GVM associated to a komplex rep. of a real Lie algebra are naturally isomorphic to GVM's associated to the complexification of the original Lie algebra (the representation remaining the same).
