Regarding the citation needed tag on the general equations

I derived those equations by hand myself. If I ever publish the derivation in a journal, I'll drop a DOI to the article here. Until then, it may serve to reference any book on viscoelasticity as they invariably discuss the Maxwell model in one fashion or another. While the model is typically discussed, deriving a single general equation which eliminates intermediate values is never, in my experience, covered. I expect I'll probably have time to publish somewhere in a few years. Until then, you'll have to take my word that this is how the model looks. I may also include a collapsed box with a full derivation in the future.
