article needs reference to Pocket Crystal which was the Apple codename for the hardware (Paradigm was the codename for the software).

article could also use a reference to Magic Map for Windows 3.1 (I used to own a copy)

There is a lot wrong with this article.

Some some actual inaccuracies, lack of real cites, and POV issues.

I was the Motorola project's hardware diagnostics person, and made every new prototype do its thing or figured out why it couldn't.

Here is some original research which we cannot use; Magic CAP was Never, Ever finished. It was released to both Motorola and Sony in what wouldn't even be an alpha state to any responsible software vendor. GM never met their promises to either vendor with respect to ROM code size or RAM usage, and the device was It was absolutely full of memory leaks and could be depended upon to lose any information you put in it within a week of daily use. The Motorola product, which included an ARDIS packet radio was significantly hampered by the fact that the ARDIS service was hellishly expensive to use. My monthly bill was around $800 when I was trying to use the device for my normal activities. That said I am proud of the work we did there; Had the software been even marginally usable, the Envoy would have been a smash hit. --BenBurch (talk) 20:51, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

3 lives taken?!

"After 12 years in existence and at least 3 lives, the company announced it would cease operations"

With gems like the above quote, I think this page should be deleted and started again. These "3 lives" aren't even mentioned in the rest of article. 93.97.223.209 (talk) 10:13, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

• No, that's not what it means! It doesn't mean that "three people died", it means that—like a cat having nine lives—GM had at least three distinct incarnations from the beginning to the end: Paradigm at Apple, MagicCap and GM, and finally Portico/OnStar.
