I would just like to question the statement that her parents "rejected" her. I think there needs to be more definition and sourcing for this statement. It may seem to be commenting on adoption which I am very familiar with and I could take offense to as well as others. Adoption should not be referenced as "rejection" unless expressly stated and again credibly sourced.MephYazata (talk) 09:34, 15 March 2009 (UTC) Meph Yazata

Abortion

EDITS

I just added a reference section and cited a few sources. I also added a few other details such as the age of the child she was actually convicted of killing (15 months). I also added that she used digoxin to kill and linked it to the digoxin site (plus added the blurb about these medications harming the heart in overdoses). More detail on original charges?

One part of the article mentions that she was originally charged with six poisonings. But the 'prosecution' section only shows her being convicted of the one murder. This inconsistency could use some explanation.

@CoryGlee: Too many blue links in a hook could result in viewership being diverted away from the main bolded article (in this case, Genene Jones), when the goal is to make readers read about Jones's article. @CoryGlee: Much to whinge about here I'm afraid, though this is at least long enough and new enough and the QPQ's done. The hook is cited to three sources, two of which equivocate and one of which is Ranker, and I'd like to know what makes that and WP:NYPOST reliable sources. The Konrad and 'protective custody' quotes could be better paraphrased, and although some of Legal proceedings is apparently cited to the article's body, this seems contentious enough to require a duplicate citation anyway. • I take it down here, hi Launchballer – a) Ranker removed. Second one was not NYPOST, it was "via NYPOST"; anyway, I replaced it with the original AP NEWS article. I have paraphrased Konrad's analysis and other entries. I added refs to convictions and legal stuff. And I have added an ALT in case you are not sure to completely trust The Conversation for that statement. The other one, "similarities by fans" is widely sourced, though.
