Bias

[edit]

The content of this page seems increasingly biased and perhaps even defamatory. Quotes regrading justice reform area sectioned with titles like "Rape" and "Child pornography", adding redundant sections in a way that seems suggest editorial bias or infers that the subject supports those things.

Under the section "Anti-government militias" statements without inaccurate sources or citation say things like -- "His extremist followers often called for the death of the federal court judge in Oregon, Anna J. Brown. Seim is also anti-military and anti-law enforcement.". In a recent revision that same category stated -- "He also stalks and harasses people who do support the military and law enforcement and refers to them as "federal informants" and uses memes and mentioned them on Facebook live stream videos.".

Especially recent edits seem to be more an editorial to cast a negative light. What should be done here?

Please do the world a favor and delete this article. If there was ever an "irrelevant" person it's Gavin Seim. He has made remarks denigrating our police, our military and our country.

I support deletion. This guy is not encyclopaedically relevant. Maikel (talk) 23:58, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
I oppose deletion. He appears to have a decent amount of "internet fame" as a libertarian firebrand, and I imagine he's relatively well known in his locale from his efforts to rein in what he sees as police misconduct. There are a lot of political ideologues out there, but how many of them have literally fled the country due to resultant legal disputes? Strunkenwhite (talk) 06:07, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
I support deletion. Not encyclopedia-level relevant. Slywy (talk) 15:03, 13 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
I oppose deletion. He appears to be well covered by RS's. The article's neutrality issues have come a long way. BudJillett (talk) 08:09, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I oppose deletion. His "internet fame" aside, he also provides an interesting case study of someone who has been able to scam the Mexican government into giving him refugee status. I think that is a pretty important issue to discuss. Also, 189.152.90.56 points out several of the reasons why he is notable. He has been mentioned and called out by a US Ambassador in Mexico, he has been talked about in media both in the United States and Mexico, and is a wanted fugitive in America. --VeroniqueBellamy (talk) 23:35, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I support deletion. After being granted residency in Mexico, this guy has posted in his YouTube channel videos of him antagonizing cops, and harassing people by not wearing a mask at WalMart. He might be notorious, but his notoriety is mostly being a horrible human being. 189.152.90.56 (talk) 03:40, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Patriots

[edit]

Seim then called on “patriots” to learn the names of the judges, prosecutors and marshals.

“On the surface level, these are secret courts, guys,” Seim said. “We got to do something about this.” http://kuow.org/post/gop-politicians-planned-and-participated-key-aspects-refuge-occupation  Preceding unsigned comment added by Veteransptsdportal (talkcontribs) 21:30, 24 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Occupation YouTuber

[edit]

Why isn't he listed as a YouTuber like the rest of other celebrities? Gochyooh (talk) 20:20, 5 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
