• Specific text to be added or removed: Between October of 2025 and March of 2026, the Gate of Harmonious Interest underwent renovations to replace the gate's three roofs with weather-resistant terra cotta tiles and figurines, and include a programmable sound system and lighting improvements. On March 20, 2026 the refurbished gate was unveiled at a ceremony hosted by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and the Mayor of Victoria. The Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club performed a lion dance, accompanied by the sounds of traditional Chinese instruments to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck and prosperity to the community.
