according to German Wiki
[edit]In May 2025, Lineker shared an Instagram story about the Israel-Gaza conflict from the account “Palestine Lobby”, which featured a rat emoji. These animals were frequently depicted as symbols for Jews during the Nazi era. Lineker subsequently apologized, calling it a mistake and oversight.
