Talk:Gamer rage

'Gamer rage' =/= 'Rage quit'

This article seems to use a few sources that don't use the term 'gamer rage' and instead the term 'rage quit' - are these necessarily helpful? Rage quitting is a different nomenclature around quitting a competitive game mid-match that isn't necessarily about extreme anger or violence. First of all, it's called "rage" quit. The Kotaku article also connects it directly with gamer rage. Intense frustration (usually causing people to override their better judgement at incurring a penalty for leaving or just staying in the game so that they don't have to search for a new one) is a form of gamer rage. It doesn't need to be a physically violent act to qualify, so I think there is no problem citing it in the article. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:39, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
