Merger

[edit]

Seeing as this has just about the same content and is the same show as Icons (TV series), how about a merger? -- Jelly Soup (talk) 02:01, 2 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is a good idea. I'll put tags up. I think the difference could be made clear by simple notation as through the addition of a new column on a table. -Thibbs (talk) 17:22, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, in reality, no they aren't. Icons was a totally new revamp of Icons (Gamemakers). That's like calling Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 3. While it has similar gameplay, characters, etc. they are still two different things entirely. Instead, why not add a disambiguation at the top of the page of the modern Icons saying something along the lines of "This is not to be confused with the series Gamemakers which had this alias under its 2002-2005 airing." While simply separating seasons one-three onto Gamemakers and season four on Icons? Subzerosmokerain (talk) 23:24, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • For Merge look at the two articles. They contain largely the same content, because the first 3 seasons are the same. If the second show cannot be merged into the first show due to the additional content, then the first show should be merged into the second show. If a merge either way is not possible, then the content from the first show in the article about the second show should be removed and replaced with the statement "The first 3 seasons of this show are rebranded reruns, for information on these episodes, see the other article". (The reason why I haven't named the shows is because the articles are so poorly written that it is ambiguous which came first. Both articles say the shows have aired since 2002, which is clearly not true. While the rebranded episodes certainly were first aired in 2002, they were not aired under that name, so should not use the first airdate from the other show.) -99.3.45.127 (talk) 01:45, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
