Lithuanian origin of the surname

[edit]

Please do not confuse the origin of the family and the origin of the surname. Sources clearly say that the surname originated in Russia, not in Lithuania, and from a Russian word. If you disagree, please provide a reliable reference. --Altenmann >talk 20:38, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

My bad, I completely misread the dedicated section of the article. Sorry. ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 20:48, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Just noticed I had read the section properly before you edited it. So not really my fault. ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 21:58, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, you should have checked the references. I learned not to trust Wikipedia, an in a hard way, too; especially in such niche areas of knowledge. --Altenmann >talk 01:26, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
