The current page is not just misleading. It is incorrect. A clear, balanced and fair description would say that Gagan Thapa was elected President of the Nepali Congress party by the special General Convention called in January 2025, and which was attended by over 50% of party members; but his claim to the presidency is disputed, as the opposing faction of the party claims to have expelled him from the party and does not recognize the legitimacy of this special General Convention. Describing him as former General secretary privileges the claim made by the opposing faction, which is a political bias that should not appear on any Wikipedia page. Just stick to the facts.  Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-32505-2 (talk) 17:28, 15 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. The article already describes Thapa as president of the Nepali Congress. Day Creature (talk) 16:08, 17 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
