There is not any proof through written ancestry or DNA that Noah is the son of Hezekiah. There is also not any proof that Noah and Keziah married or proof that Gabriel Long gave Keziah land in the year 1835. Also the names of Noah's children should not be included in this unsubstantiated article. There is no proof that the land Noah sold to Jane Cumbo was inherited from Ezekiah Jacobs.All unsubstantiated material should be removed. MimiBecca (talk) 17:48, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! My contention is simply a source should be provided if the user wishes to blank part of the page. They've just linked to a personal user-submissions consumer DNA website page. The information that was removed was never documented when it was originally placed in the article. The "personal user-submissions consumer DNA website page" as you called it is run by FPOC descendants of the Jacobs' and is used to verify descendency. Seems to be primary sources along with an article about a Jacobs gun control case. This article was made in 2019. Maybe @EB Norris1 can comment, since he seems to have written this article. I am "this family", a direct descendant, and I am a geneaologist. If YDNA proved a link with any Jacobs, I would accept the finding but it has not (has actually disproven the Zacariah/Hezekiah hypothesis). The gun control case information can remain but any information about Noah and his family should be removed.
Another family member (also a geneaologist) tried to have this information removed but was immediately reversed also. It does not appear that the revisions are being taken seriously when they are immediatly reversed. . ~2026-40514-20 (talk) 23:04, 19 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
in this case, it seems like you and the other family member have a conflict of interest- which is relevant to how you should be editing.

for the actual guidelines, you can go to WP:COI - specifically the section WP:COISELF . the best way to change this page for you would be to follow the guide at WP:COIREQ , requesting what changes you would like made and why. another editor will then review your claims and sources, and add them to the article if it looks good. this process helps us make sure that wikipedia stays as reliable as possible. There is no conflict of interest with the other person who tried to have Noah's info removed. We both want undocumented evidence removed. The onl;y conflict is with the people who keep insisting that Noah is a descendant of Hezekiah/Zacariah. Neither my family member or I believe that and the YDNA tests confirm our belief. The original article wa spublished without any evidence that Noah was descended from Zacariah/Hezekiah.
