Translation help for GPMI whitepaper
[edit]The 31-page GPMI whitepaper is available for free (https://www.hisilicon.com/cn/White-Paper-Technical-Guide/white-paper/gpmi-innovation) and simply requires entering contact info (this info is not verified and the page immediately redirects to the download).
The paper is in Chinese, however. Some translated snippets are available online in various articles, including images with translated text, but I have not found an English-language version of the whitepaper. I have included some information in the article based on these translated sources or online translation services, however accurate translation would be very helpful in expanding the article. —danhash (talk) 21:26, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
Initial groundwork laid out in current-gen consumer products that have already been released?
[edit]Not sure if it'd be too tangential but could it be worth noting that GPMI is starting to get groundwork laid out in stuff from the consortium's member companies products like with the HiSense (VIDDAU-Based) TV's such as the UXQ & U8Q(T)/U8G models. Especially given how rare it is for support for Displayport signals/USB-C video to be available on currently released consumer TV's, right? Adpocalyptic (talk) 15:20, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
- Then again, I'm not 100% sure if it's planned to support the final frameworks when GPMI rolls-out down the road. So it could just be 'Displayport via USB-C' on a Consumer-grade TV. Which, while noteworthy as the first mainstream example I've ever come across, is still unclear whether it'd be relevant enough for me to add in this article. I'd appreciate any suggestions given in feedback from you guys though. Adpocalyptic (talk) 15:29, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
