History section

[edit]

The article would be vastly improved with a section discussing the history of the funeral home. BuddingJournalist 07:40, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Other things this could use

[edit]
  • Discussion of the rise of the funeral home as an institution
  • Discussion of consolidation in the funeral industry
  • Pictures of interiors
  • Link of some sort to critique of the funeral industry, e.g. The American Way of Death by Jessica Mitford.
    • I see this is somewhat addressed in the "see also" section.

Loewen Group

[edit]

The statement that the Mississippi verdict against Loewen was found to be unjustified is partisan at best. The verdict was never reversed -- Loewen settled. At the very least, the article should avoid the weaselly passive voice and say *who* allegedly found the result to be in error. --Thus Blogged Anderson (talk) 22:21, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
