– The names are confusingly similar in a way that the topics can't be distinguished at title. Related to Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2026_June_25#Category:People_from_Fundy_Isles. Ngrams strongly favor the Fundy Isles name for at least one of the topics. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 16:51, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Fundy Isles is the more common name for the Fundy Islands, so that should be the title of the article. Fundy Isles (electoral district) is okay but since it no longer exists would it be better to call it Fundy Isles (former electoral district)? HazelAB (talk) 23:12, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't know. Ask someone else. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 14:41, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
No, (electoral district) is fine. The parenthetic is for disambiguation only, and if there was another Fundy Isles electoral district, the practice is to use first the province then a year range for disambiguation instead of "former". See Carleton (New Brunswick provincial electoral district, 1834–1974), Carleton (New Brunswick provincial electoral district, 1995–2014) and Category:Former provincial electoral districts of New Brunswick. – Reidgreg (talk) 20:18, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for this explanation. So Fundy Isles (electoral district) should replace Fundy Isles, which should replace Fundy Islands. HazelAB (talk) 22:36, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Inclusion of map, geological section, and complete list of islands

[edit]

Hey everyone! This is my first Wikipedia edit request, but I would love to hear some feedback on whether folks would be open to me adding a map, some photographs, a complete list of all islands(see example below), as well as a geological section.

Example: Lists of journals: List of academic journals about specific authors List of accounting journals List of aerospace engineering journals ME-Nomad-11 (talk) 15:36, 21 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

I absolutely would love to see some more work on the article, I'm an inclusionist so I generally support adding information, and oppose removing information (unless there's identifiable harm caused of course) - "a complete list of all the islands" might be difficult just because I'm not sure it's even defined beyond "the Big Three" (I think Indian sometimes gets named as well) - so whether or not Gannet Rock or the Pumpkins or Spruce Island are included is kinda ambiguous. For what it's worth I made {{NBFundyIslands}} and {{NSFundyIslands}} trying to list/create ALL the islands so that's a good starting place.
