Next 1 April, will someone please remind me on my talk page to make this redirect to Pen? Thanks, zappa.jake (talk) 00:51, 19 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

A hilarious prank idea if ever there was one.--Atlantima 19:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh no! I totally forgot to remind you/do it myself! :( Himynameishelen (talk) 23:10, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

This article needs a better summary section

[edit]

The summary is half quoted directly from the book, and half quoted directly from the back of the book. I would take it upon myself, but I don't have the book on hand at the moment. Thelonesun (talk) 04:02, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Move to Findle(book)

[edit]

Due to the information about the movie i thought this title was more appropriate.. if someone wants to discuss this with me dont just move it back Post on my talk page and then if u feelincredibly strongly about it ill move it back —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Matthew2c4u (talkcontribs) 07:57, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

Absolutely no need for this , it is a novel and it was even badly done. The film is the secondary medium "it" should be "Frindle (film) no need to move the novel - oh well. Now more properly Frindle (novel) :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:41, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Agreed, it's totally unnecessary- if a movie comes out I will consider reapplying the Novel tag, until then I am removing it. Edit: or not, as it apparently won't let me, I added it to the list of articles to be moved anyway.Himynameishelen (talk) 23:57, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

what is this story about ?

[edit]

it is tellig you it isent impossible and that you need to put the potato chips down and get your lazy but up cause it is not impossible to make a new word and not just that its more it that fact that we all can make a difference a change and in this case we can make a new word. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.242.49.42 (talk) 21:41, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

(Hold on. Can you kashnicht that again for us? Flipping Mackerel (talk) 14:13, 3 May 2010 (UTC))Reply
Sure, here it is, kashnichted again: It is telling you it isn't impossible to make a new word and that you need to put the potato chips down and get your lazy derrière up to do it. Also, it's telling you metaphorically that we can all make a difference, a change in this world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.165.20 (talk) 18:29, 31 March 2012 (UTC) Reply

Year?

[edit]

Currently, the article states that Nick started fifth grade in 1987. It appears the year was taken from the dictionary entry for ‘frindle’ in the epilogue, which gives the etymology as “arbitrary coinage; originated by Nicholas Allen, American, 1987– (see pen)“. It seems to me that 1987 refers to the year of Nick’s birth, rather than the year ‘frindle’ was coined. So the year should either be changed to 1998, since the epilogue also says that Nick turns 21 ten years after the main part of the story, or left out entirely, because it’s not explicitly stated what the exact year is. IncoherentP (talk) 22:40, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Went ahead and changed it to 1998. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this. IncoherentP (talk) 22:18, 7 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
