Zayak rule and Requirements sections

[edit]

In the on-going mission of improving this and other figure skating articles, I have removed the Zayak rule section. Why did I do that, you ask? First, although it was an interesting historical discussion about jumps and it an interesting figure in the sport, Elaine Zayak, it had no sources. Second, I'm not so sure it fits in this article; perhaps it better fits into History of figure skating or into Jumps. I regret its removal, but I think it's necessary. I replaced it with the "Requirements" section I created and wrote because it's better sourced and makes it more consistent with other articles about competition segments. Update: There is a discussion about the Zayak Rule at Single skating#Jumps because it fit better there. I'm glad, since it's an important part of recent figure skating history. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 03:17, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
