My changes were dismissed. I'd like that reverted
[edit]I made minor changes, out of historical accuracy. The most important one is Fred Sexton's ancestry. This was taken from the Hodel book; his sole source for this piece of information was an interview he did with Sexton's daughter. However, I have researched the genealogy, and there is NO Italian ancestry whatsoever. If Hodel had done thorough genealogical/historical research, it would be a different thing, and I would have let it stand, but it is inaccurate.
His third marriage was not to a "teenager." His third wife was very young, but in her early twenties when they married. This sentence is almost completely lifted verbatim from the Hodel book, with no documentation behind it, and was based on the same interview.
I left most of the rest of the article stand, obviously, because for the most part it is factual and covers information that is either true or at least has been documented. I respectfully ask that my edits either be restored or that I can work with a reputable editor who can assist in making changes so it reads more like a typical Wikipedia entry and less like the Hodel book (which I find to be a bit sensationalistic in the sentence and story structure).

- @Sandmanssandbox: the issue is a conflict of interest, not the claims themselves. Do you have any supporting citations for the claims? Happy to review them on the talk page. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 07:26, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
