The cited Whiticker/Hudson ref (Encyclopedia of RL Players) says that Ed Fry played for Souths in 08 and that W Fry played for Easts in 08. But then the Whiticker/Collis ref ("The History of Rugby League Clubs" says that Ed Fry was in the 1st ever South game (Easter Monday 1908) and also that he played for Easts in their first ever game on 20 April 1908. Surely that can't be. Now presumably Fred is W Fry? -Sticks6612:22, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
There are 5 Fry brothers. Ed & William who played for Souths are not the same people as Fred who played for Easts
