Unreferenced since April 2007

[edit]

This article is in imminent danger of being cut right back to the stub. The biographical info; the quotes (sundry "British newspapers" and all) allegedly from the subject and from others (including those of a certain former sportscaster); assumptions of fact and embellishment and details re various incidents: for none of this are there citations or references - inline or otherwise - given. Some material pertains to people still living.

It is especially important that adequate citations and references are given in biographical articles.

Unreferenced material, will be removed unless these policy issues are addressed and the inforamation sourced. Plutonium27 (talk) 13:54, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I completely agree, and these tags shouldn't have been on this article for so many years without issues being fixed. I've found another obituary, from PA News, and I'll try and track down the Times obit. In the meantime, I think this article should be limited to what can be found in the references, especially the two obituaries (Observer & Guardian).
