  2. John Britten Burden (c. 1855 – 15 August 1922) was son of Thomas Burden (1817–1875), found family link to C. H. Goode.

Philip Henry Burden (1824–1864) married Mary Jones (1828–1907), daughter of Edward Jones (c. 1794–1880) and Elizabeth Britten (c. 1804–1882) from genealogy site. So Philip Henry wanted to memorialize his mother-in-law's parents, but what about Thomas?
