Why does Tim Hortons gift cards keep getting added?

[edit]

I can understand gift cards in general, but specifically adding Tim Hortons just seems like it's spam. A lot of companies have gift cards. Scribebrad2000 (talk) 04:04, 5 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

The temporary account was clearly vandalizing the article. The brand name of the gift card is irrelevant; while gift cards may indeed be an objective of fraud, that sentence clearly refers to an attempt to fraudulently obtain official documents, not gift cards. UK section

[edit]

The information in Fraud#United Kingdom is rather out of date and less comprehensive than that of Crime in the United Kingdom#Fraud. I think it may be better excerpt some of that section into this article instead. The sub-section for England and Wales doesn't really seem necessary either as the stats referred to are for those countries anyway. I'll see if I can do a re-write. gilgongo (talk) 11:13, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I have now done that, merging and summarising some of the information into the new section excertped from Crime in the United Kingdom#Fraud, while removing statistics older than about 10 years. Too much has changed in that time for them to be usefully comparable (see also Crime statistics in the United Kingdom).
See also my workpage with notes here.
