Is torpedo definitely the longest kick?
[edit]With regard to “Usually, a torpedo punt is the type of kick used, as this kick is well known for being the longest kick in Australian rules football.”
My Dad played in SA in the 60s, and he always thought the drop kick (ie where you kick the ball after it has bounced off the ground) was the longest kick, even though it isn’t part of the modern game. MrTAP (talk) 08:32, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
