I am the current chair of FoCM and therefore have a conflict of interest regarding this article, so I am requesting the edit rather than making it myself. The article has not been substantially updated since about 2020 and several of its statements are now incorrect.
- Specific text to be added or removed: I have prepared a full replacement at
User:Gmalajovich/sandbox/FoCM. In summary:
- the infobox names Wolfgang Dahmen as chair; he left the post in 2017;
- the list of chairs ends at 2020 and should continue with Albert Cohen (2020–2023), Evelyne Hubert (2023–2026) and Gregorio Malajovich (2026–present);
- two terms in the list of editors-in-chief are wrong: Michael Todd served 2009–2014, not 2008–2011, and Hans Munthe-Kaas's term ended in 2023, not "present". Teresa Krick (2020–2026), Markus Bachmayr (2023–present) and Christophe Ritzenthaler (2026–present) are missing;
- four conferences are missing: Barcelona 2017, Vancouver 2020 (cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic), Paris 2023 and Vienna 2026. I have put the conference list into a table, since as a bare list it carried one external link per entry;
- the journal's publisher has changed: Springer through 2026, and from 1 January 2027 EMS Press;
- the Smale Prize list is missing the 2023 and 2026 awards;
- the Agnes Szanto Medal, instituted in 2023 and first awarded in 2026, is not mentioned at all;
- the list of topics of interest is out of date.
- Reason for the change: the article is five years out of date and contains
statements that are now factually wrong, most visibly the named chair in the infobox. I have restricted myself to verifiable factual corrections and have added no evaluative or promotional wording. The draft also converts the bare external links in the Meetings section into citations, which is what the {{[[Template:External links|External links]]}} cleanup tag of November 2024 refers to, so the draft removes that tag.

I will not edit the article myself, and I will not revert anyone who disagrees with any part of this. Gmalajovich (talk) 15:28, 18 September 2026 (UTC)
