Making this article more understandable
[edit]Forward scattering also applies to lights reflecting off of wet roads. It shouldn't be that hard to find a good source for it: https://www.google.com/search?q=wet+pavement+light+scattering Greg (talk) 22:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Contradictory image
[edit]I believe the image with the legend "Forward scattering of a photon, with possible energy change" used to illustrate the article is misleading. The text states "Forward scattering is the deflection of waves by small angles so that they continue to move in close to the same direction as before the scattering", this is clearly not the case in this picture, there is almost a 90 ° angle between the scattered and initial wave vectors ! ~2026-33133-45 (talk) 10:11, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
