Formylation is a fairly broad, fundamental reaction in organic chemistry. That key aspect is hardly developed in the present article. By contrast, the biochemistry of formylation is developed in some detail. It is not essential that the article be split, I still favor the idea because the organic reaction sets out the principles, and the biochem part is subsidiary conceptually. Oh, the split process allows us to kill off formylation reaction and blend it in.--Smokefoot (talk) 15:17, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
