Reel Danger: age of perpetrators

[edit]

The age of the two older perpetrators has been changed from 18 to 16. I did an internet search and discovered reports supporting both age 16 - e.g.

http://www.nytimes.com/1991/07/17/nyregion/3-teen-agers-are-held-in-attempted-murders.html

- and age 18 - e.g.

http://www.sidereel.com/Forensic_Files/season-7/episode-3.

I then consulted the notes I made when I watched the episode, and according to that, both were 17, and I have seen written confirmation of this:

I dont disagree with you at all, but even 17 year olds tried as adults RARELY get life in prison unless they are serial killers?

WHAT?! 2 were age 17. Up to 1 year short of the age of an adult, therefore tried as adults.

I think this should be investigated further, but failing that, the age should be changed to 17, to agree with the source of the article.TheTruth-2009 (talk) 12:39, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
