Azafluourenone

[edit]

I suggest that this whole section be re-located to a separate article as it describes a different chemical compound. It should also be looked at to make it read like an encyclopaedic entry rather than a scientific paper! MightyWarrior (talk) 21:09, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Problems with azafluorenone section

[edit]

The entire Azafluorenone section, added here by MonikaTomar (UU) has has excessive off-topic detail (this article is about fluorenone), and could be moved to a new article about azafluorenones as suggested above by MightyWarrior. However, it has multiple other problems: it lacks secondary sources, has copy-paste of sentences in multiple places, from the references and from this uncited thesis by A.M. Kempema, and it lacks encyclopedic tone and perspective. One can get better overview of azafluorenones simply by a web search and skimming review and well-referenced papers. I propose to simply delete it unless another editor wants to try salvaging. –MadeOfAtoms (talk) 00:48, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

It appears that at least some of the text is copied from a PhD thesis at https://dr.lib.iastate.edu/server/api/core/bitstreams/9f398a2f-a639-44a7-8333-3804db612e7b/content . I don’t know whether this a copyvio or not.

It would make sense to remove the section from the article, but may also be a good idea to at least create a stub article for azafluorenones in its place. MightyWarrior (talk) 22:25, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
