Flowboarding → Flowriding – Flowboarding is more often referred to a different sport where it involves a skateboard with 14 wheels. (Flowboard) Flowriding more accurately depicts this sport which occurs on the FlowRider or FlowBarrel. Wave Loch, the creators of the sport and also the manufacturers of the FlowRider and FlowBarrel had named the sport Flowboarding out of concerns that people may view flowriding as a sport which only involves the FlowRider. However, from an objective standpoint and also from reading articles in from the media, it has been found that many secondary sources refer to the sport as flowriding. Most sources which use the term 'flowboarding' are either from primary sources or are talking about events organized by Wave Loch or Surf Houses. However the secondary sources which include articles/videos about the sport as well as casual statements from bloggers and tourists who come in contact with the sport, it has been found that 'flowriding' is a more intuitive term to refer to the sport in general. This could possibly for a few reasons; 1. Each session on the FlowRider or FlowBarrel is called a 'ride', 2. People who ride on the FlowRider and FlowBarrel are often times called 'riders' even by Wave Loch and Wavehouse. Reasons for removal of proposed deletion of Flowboarding
[edit]User talk:Tracysurf I have removed the proposed deletion of Flowboarding byUser:JzG/PROD log and have been adding citations where possible. Even though the sport has been around since 1991, it is relatively new in most countries and has taken time to solidify its position and terminologies because the sport is limited by a very specific infrastructure. I have requested for the Flowboarding page to have its name changed to 'Flowriding' as this is a term which the common person typically uses after coming in contact with the sport. This is further elaborated in the 'talk' section of the flowboarding article with several articles by 3rd party sources to support the change in title.
The number of articles on the sport are currently still rather limited and most of the content is produced by primary sources; venues which have the infrastructure and the company which develops and sells the machines upon which flowriding is conducted. This is why the citations had taken some amount of time to be done and I will be following closely with this article to add more information to it so that it becomes a full-fledged wiki article.

Incorrect power spec
[edit]Power is not measured in "kW/hr". I suspect "kW" may have been intended, but I'm just going to remove these. GA-RT-22 (talk) 13:49, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Advert tag
[edit]I see the "Advert" tag has been removed. I think the removal is premature. The article is still full of promotional phrasing like "perfect", "successfully installed", "Along with this success", "unveiled", "received instant popularity", "took home the prize as the champion", "around the world", "marked the first time", "From then on", "This company is the only one that produced a device", etc. GA-RT-22 (talk) 13:12, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
