I've deleted the statement in the article that Macmillan U.K. published Wells's Outline in the U.K. Macmillan U.K. had turned down the work when it was offered to them. It was published by Newnes as a magazine partwork (and later in bound form) and by Cassells. It's an important point that the British Macmillan by this time had no apparent financial link with Macmillan U.S. or Macmillan Canada. Deeks's lawyers had intended to pursue the idea that her manuscript had been sent from Toronto to London, to be passed on to Wells, but they would be unlikely to aid rivals, especially in such a manner. I hesitate, at the moment, to add more to the page. Magnusson's very readable Queens Law Journal article should be read by anyone with an interest in the case, and those with a taste for OR for its own sake might find plenty of flaws in McKillop's book by a little detective work of their own.--Mabzilla (talk) 02:03, 22 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
