What is this?
[edit]Norfolk island pine is 100% not native to Montserrat 😭 ~2026-50939 (talk) 14:16, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
Done, I have now removed it. Declangi (talk) 07:22, 4 January 2026 (UTC)- Regardless of whether or not it is native to Montserrat, it has been recorded there. The flora of an area is not restricted to non-introduced plants, and Araucaria heterophylla has been recorded on Montserrat per the Durrell biodiversity survey, albeit as an introduced plant. The checklist of flora likewise lists it and includes a specimen (McClelland 904), and observations of it have been made on iNaturalist. Making a note that it is introduced is one thing, but removing it is factually inaccurate. Mossgazer (talk) 14:58, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- You're right that a Flora article is not limited to non-introduced plants. I should have checked further to find the resources that you have now added. This has now become a very good article. Declangi (talk) 09:28, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
