Physical significance
[edit]I've not included much discussion of the physical significance of the Flamant solution. Please add some more information - particularly about what the solution means (any anything) in the case of a thin infinite plate loaded on one side. Bbanerje (talk) 04:13, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Displacements at the surface of the half-plane
[edit]There seems to be an error in sign regarding the direct response. The displacement u_1 due to a force F_1 should be proportional to -ln|x_1| not +ln|x_1|. ln|x| \to -\infty when x \to 0. A positive F_1 must give a positive u_1. Same thing for F_2 and u_2. ____ Nossderfla (talk) 15:55, 5 September 2026 (UTC)
