Delete article?

Speaking as the guy who more or less wrote the entire article (though i didn't start the article), I think this article should be deleted. I was a new editor when I first wrote most of it, now I've learnt more about Wikipedia. I don't think any of the sources cited really constitute reliable sources. Article with error included?

I understand that one can't always determine whether a dish originated with country A or country B, especially in Southeast Asia. However, the link in the opening claims "amok" is just the dish's proper name with no meaning. That's incorrect though, 'amok' in Khmer means "steamed/steamed in leaves," which this article even notes.

Is this not a contradiction that will cause confusion for readers? Is there another article discussing the uncertainty of amok trei's origin without giving false information? MoonsMoon (talk) 02:35, 11 October 2025 (UTC)

Individual opinions can be mutually contradictory. Are there any Khmer dictionaries that define "amok" as "steamed/steamed in leaves"? –Turaids (talk) 05:56, 24 October 2025 (UTC)

Amok trey photo

I've noticed the same photo of fish amok is used and reused so I'm sharing this photo of mine. It's from my 2024 December trip to Cambodia.
