—== Merging With Glass ==
I believe that it should be merged because Fire King is merely a type of Glass. Also, it looks like original research since there are no sources cited and a slightly less than N:POV in seitatn linse.s
Uhh hello?
[edit]What is with you people? Who is going to merge Fire King with glass?
No, Do not merge this with glass. It is a very specific, collectible type of glassware. Several books have been written exclusively about how to identify and value Fire King Glassware.
Merging is a bad idea!!!
[edit]There are over 200,000 collectors of just Fire King. This is not just another type of glass. It should not be merged. As far as no sources being cited we can work on that!!!
NOT a good idea
[edit]There are so many catagories, patterns, colors and styles of Fire King that it would be too confusing to merge it in with Glass in general. It is so big it should stand alone.
Dishwasher safe
[edit]Is the Fire King measuring cup glassware safe to put in the dishwasher? I ask because the 2 new Pyrex brand measuring cups I have, lost their etching/markings after only a half dozen trips through the dishwasher. I can barely read the markings and the Pyrex label is virtually gone. 198.166.185.212 (talk) 21:43, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
It’s been 20 years
[edit]This article was created twenty years ago and only has three references for all of its claims, many of which are unsourced entirely. And all three references are from official websites. This is not sufficient.
I understand this should not be merged with glass, but perhaps some of the contents that can be properly cited should just merge with Anchor Hocking. There does not seem to be enough to warrant this being its own page, especially after such a long time of having no citations. Louie Mantia (talk) 23:46, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- I know it may make collectors of these things upset, but Fire-King, Jadeite, and milk glass all have a shocking lack of citations. And they have been like that for quite some time now.
- I understand some people consider these “collectibles” and that those collectors feel that makes these notable. I don’t doubt that. But where are the citations for all these claims after all these years?
- Without being cited, given how long it’s been, I’m leaning toward proposing at least Fire-King and Jadeite for deletion. All these claims must have come from somewhere. For those who might urge to keep the page, maybe sources will finally surface? Louie Mantia (talk) 08:19, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
