Writing?

Intoxicating substances?
[edit]Does anyone know if there's any research/speculation that these may have been done by people who self-induced trancelike states through the use of intoxicating plants or other substances? They seem to have all the hallmarks of the "have you REALLY looked at your hands?" school of thought. Is there any research that indicates they couldn've been the outcome of some sort of religious, hallucinatory ritual? Jfulbright (talk) 18:42, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
