Structure - rewrite needed
[edit]This article is basically a list of unrelated examples of filter feeding. What is required is a structured article that discusses the various structural and functional adaptations that enable filter feeding to work, and probably some discussion of the phylogeny involved (how many times did it evolve, etc). - Hmm, nothing's happened in more than 8 years to remedy this; the article remains a list detailing some of the more conspicuous instances of the mechanism across the animal kingdom, with no general discussion of what filter feeding is, its position among feeding mechanisms, evolution, or whatever. Oh, and the list's ordering from "higher" to "lower" is bizarre, needs fixed. Time we all got on with it. Chiswick Chap (talk) 06:40, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
