Particle board is Low-Density-Fiberboard?
[edit]I put this in the form of a question as I used a British book (Carpentry and Joinery by Brian Porter 300+ pgs) which quite clearly separates particle board (aka chipboard) from fibreboard (as they write it) and Low-Density Fibreboard (<400 kg/m3) which is "commonly called insulation board". The question arose because, while Particle board has lower density than MDF, it does not include an early separation of the source wood into individual fibres which I believe all 'fibreboard' requires to be in that grouping/classification. While it just seems erroneous on this basis to include 'particle board' as a 'fiberboard', I do wonder if there is any ~understanding in USA for the latter generally that serves as a source for this wiki article. I've traced down some of the article sources, but they seem to just refer to Low Density Fiberboard (and not Particle board as such). I'll explore further myself, but if finding no outside support, or in reply no comments supporting particle board as a fiberboard, I'll edit the 'fiberboard' article accordingly.
