Disambiguation wording

[edit]

This article was originally titled Felix (Korean musician) but was moved to Felix (rapper) in December 2023 with the note Disambiguation conflicting with the lede which states that he is Australian citizen. As for RSes, he is mainly labelled as Stray Kids's "rapper" - I'm not sure what reliable sources Paper9oll checked, but I disagree. While Stray Kids does not have official "positions" as many k-pop groups do (wherein individual members are designated "main vocal" or "visual"), Felix is best known as part of DanceRacha, the group's primary dance unit.

Felix performs rap in many Stray Kids songs, but the group's main rappers are widely considered to be Changbin and Han (musician). Rather than using "rapper" for Felix I think it would be better to use "musician" which is more broad. Because Felix (musician) refers to a British DJ, I think it would make sense to use "Stray Kids musician" in the style of Hyunjin (Stray Kids singer). I am not familiar with the process of moving a page but I think Felix (Stray Kids musician) makes the most sense. Etoile ✩ (talk) 16:21, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Etoile I believe you're referring to a page move that was made in December 2023, when the article was still new. At the time, the citations available in the article predominantly described Felix as a rapper, which was the basis for the WP:BOLDMOVE.
On procedural grounds, if there is now a case for a different title nearly three years later, this can be raised by following the instructions at WP:RSPM. An RM discussion should focus on the article title, relevant sources, and applicable policies and guidelines. In other words, it should focus on content rather than editors. Your rationale already largely contains what is needed to start an RM; you just need to remove the editor-specific references. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 17:46, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Paper9oll Excellent, thank you so much - I'm not very familiar with this level of editing and didn't know the proper process. No personal attack was meant, I was just trying to identify which change it was. I see now that there are better ways. Thank you! Etoile ✩ (talk) 12:20, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
