Proposed merge with hip hop montage
[edit]- Oppose - hip hop montage refers to footage which is specifically fast motion (as in the opposite of slow motion). You can argue that it's a subset of fast cutting because it also tends to employ fast cutting as well, although I'm not certain that this is uniformly the case. - From what little is actually said on the subject, it appears that it is actually a subset . Both articles refer to the technique used in the same examples, and that one link I found refers to the "hip hop montage" as a jump cut. I'd say that's enough to make it a sub section on this article. Radagast83 18:02, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Inaccurate Use of Film Terms
[edit]Fast cutting is the act of cutting quickly from one image to another. It is a common technique used in many films and television shows and has not been most recently used in Requiem for a Dream, but rather is used mostly to quickly jump from one shot to another.[vimal sm]
