I removed the comment that the engines was a 90° v rather than a 60°. If you read up on piston engines you will find that there are good reasons why most vee engines use the same angles. For Vee-8s, smoothest running is achieved at 45° (easily calculated by 360°/no of cylinders). As V-8s are multiples of twos and Fours eight cylinder engines will also run smoothly at 90°(4-cyl) and 180°(2-cyl)

60° V-12 The same is true of V-12 which are multiples of 2-cyl (180°), 3-cyl (120°), 4-cyl (90°), 6-cyl (60°) and 12-cyl (30°). So V-12s will run smoothly at the given angles, but there are practical limits to building engines with small V angles.
