Citation needed for "oldest known continuously published magazine"

[edit]

United Church Observer, affiliated with The United Church of Canada, claims "With roots dating back to 1829, The Observer is proud to be the oldest continuously published magazine in North America, and the second-oldest in the English-speaking world." The Spectator, founded in 1828, describes itself as ‘the oldest continuously-published weekly in the English language’. And then there's the rest of the world.
