Fanta Light (UK)

I notice "previously known as". Fanta Light was completely replaced with a new drink (Fanta Z) due to Light being a complete disaster. (I'll vouch for that, it tasted horrible).

therefore fanta light is a discontinued drink. not just the old name for fanta z

Can I just say that the "Ireland" and Northern Ireland bit needs to be changed Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom even though it shares the geographical Island with the Republic Of Ireland

Fantasie

It is claimed in the article that "The name was the result of a brainstorming session, which started with Keith's exhorting his team to "use their imagination" (Fantasie in German), to which one of his salesmen, Joe Knipp, retorted "Fanta!"" However, isn't this an anachronism? Wasn't the spelling "Fantasie" only introduced with the spelling reform in 1996? I'm not an expert, but I believe that pre-1996, the correct spelling was "Phantasie". The story still makes sense, but it should be mentioned that "Fanta" derives from "Phantasie" (modern spelling: "Fantasie"). ~2026-44628-10 (talk) 22:21, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
