Affiliates

[edit]

It is difficult to tell which networks are still affiliates of Bally Sports. Does Bally even produce any regularly scheduled programming nationally like Fox used to do? I do not believe they currently have any contracts with to produce college sports. The ACC games carried by FSN seem to be produced by ESPN/Raycom. NESN is usually the only non-FSN affiliate to pick these up. For now, I have removed NESN since I can't find any evidence that it even affiliated with FSN (except during the 90s). I will add it back in if someone can find proof. On the other hand, MSG/MSG Plus seems to have never stopped carrying FSN programming despite YES also carrying it. In 2018, Fox said they had 5 affiliated RSNs. I'm guessing ATT Rocky Mountain, ATT Pittsburgh, Root Sports, MSG Network/MSG Plus, and MASN. So assuming nothing else has changed there are now 7 with the addition of Marquee and YES now being only partially owned by Sinclair.--Rusf10 (talk) 22:22, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

FanDuel not mentioned in infobox

[edit]

Shouldn't FanDuel Group be mentioned somewhere in the infobox, given the partnership and new branding? natemup (talk) 20:27, 11 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

FanDuel Group does not own the networks. Esolo5002 (talk) 21:37, 11 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
I didn't say they do. But there is obviously a preeminent relationship that is not acknowledged in the infobox. natemup (talk) 22:02, 11 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
They have a licensing deal for the name. I think that's noted clearly in the lede. How would you suggest it be added to the infobox? Esolo5002 (talk) 15:34, 16 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
It's precisely because it's prominent in the lede that it should also be in the infobox. How is a good question. I'm not an expert on that front. natemup (talk) 23:05, 16 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
FanDuel is basically in a brand licensing deal (but in reverse because they're paying Main Street instead of the other way around like ESPN Bet). The deal does include an option to acquire a stake in the networks, but that would be through Main Street itself (and would be noted as an ownership stake on that article's infobox instead). Why are you showing the St. Louis Cardinals on the Kansas City network. Very annoying. 2601:205:4802:B620:3CD8:2FA6:7204:B0DD (talk) 02:09, 20 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

FanDuel Sports Networks not over yet?

[edit]

You can still watch the FanDuel Sports Networks on their website for a monthly fee of $19.99. I tried to make that clear in my last edit. They're still providing information to program guides, and the networks might still be available to DIRECTV platforms. Some providers did drop the FanDuel Sports Networks on June 30, but it seems like they haven't completely ended operations yet. Vidpro23 (talk) 10:48, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

I don't think their website has been updated in over a year. It still lists 20-something sports team that I know they no longer carry. It also says it is carried by Comcast even though they dropped them months ago. Other smaller cable companies also announced that the networks closed on June 30 --Rusf10 (talk) 03:03, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
But none of those sources say that the networks have fully shutdown. If DirecTV still carries them, it doesn't matter if Comcast dropped them. Esolo5002 (talk) 23:12, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Read them again, all three of them plus Fubo is saying that the networks ceased operations. Can you prove DirecTV still carries them?--Rusf10 (talk) 01:13, 14 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
As an example, I put a Saint Louis zipcode here and it gave me a channel number for FanDuel Sports Network Midwest. I agree with the other user that the website and TV listings, plus that, do not provide sufficient evidence that the network has shutdown. With no reliable secondary sources saying they have shut down, I don't think we can change the lede. Esolo5002 (talk) 03:42, 14 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
This press release from today clearly states the networks are still operating . Esolo5002 (talk) 16:54, 14 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
