Betting range

[edit]

The page currently says: "Fan-tan is still played at Macau casinos, where ... bets can be made from 100 to 100,000 dollars." I doubt that the range of betting is so low (either min or max). Five Macau cents is less than one US cent. I've asked for a citation. Earthlyreason (talk) 01:14, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Probably really old data. I saw another gambling article where someone was citing info about table limits from a nineteenth-century book about Monte Carlo as though it were current. 74.131.49.72 (talk) 16:06, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I went to Macau many times and played at fantan tables, I can confirm the min limit is set at 100 HK$. I cannot say about max limit.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.48.45.202 (talk) 15:50, 8 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unclear time range

[edit]

The article currently states that 'The game may have arisen during third and fourth centuries, during the period of the Northern and Southern dynasties', but, according to the article on the Northern and Southern dynasties, that period was in the fifth and sixth centuries. So which is it? ~2026-24453-31 (talk) 04:15, 22 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
