Faetar described by my Grandparents from Faeto as "Faedad"

[edit]

My grandparents were from Faeto Italy. They emigrated to the United States in the 1920's. They described their unique Frenchish language as "Faedad". They also referred to these epic guard/farm dogs from their region as "Malosso" or "Mallosi". When I eventually got a Cane Corso dog my Grandmother exclaimed " MALOSSO! Those things are all over the place in Faeto." So no expertise here Just my Italian American Grandmother who could not read or write in Italian or English but could do both in "Faedad" describing a Cane Corso as a common "farm" dog "Malosso". They also told the oral tradition of being descendants of Angevin soldiers. Hope this helps 67.176.83.68 (talk) 15:18, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
