Negative powers of two?

What's with the negative powers of two in the article?

David Wagner et al. found that 2⁻³³ of the keys are weak

Here 2⁻²⁹ of keys are weak and can be broken using 236 chosen ciphertexts.

If these are meant to represent fractions, isn't there a clearer way to represent this? i.e., 1 in every 2³³.
