Are you sure the team plays at Torpedo Stadium? Seems this article says they play at Luzhniki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torpedo_Stadium_%28Moscow%29 --Coryma 04:13, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I suggest moving the page to FC Moscow for the following reasons:

• The more commonly used name.
• Major websites, such as Goal (formerly soccerage) and soccernet, as well as major magazines, such as World Soccer refer to the team as FC Moscow.
• Club's official website is located at fcmoscow.ru

• Comment - 3 hits on UEFA.com for "FC Moscow", 613 for "FC Moskva". So it seems the latter is UEFA's official name for them. ugen64 03:04, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

• Comment Not exactly, they also have Lokomotiv Moskva, Dinamo Moskva, Spatak Moskva, CSKA Moskva and Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast (instead of Moscow Oblast or Moscow Region). UEFA use direct transliteration from Russian on their website. BanRay 05:50, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

I searched about whether or not FC Moscow should be considered as the same club as Torpedo-Metallurg, and found the following:

• Yesterday the goverment of Moscow announced the creation of FC Moscow: the new team will be formed on the base of Torpedo-Metallurg. (02 March 2004)
• General Director of FC Moscow Yuri Belous: "All the history with Torpedo is ended. New name would allow the team to became significantly stronger." (02 March 2004)
• From the interview with Yuri Belous: (03 September 2004)
  • "During one of my meeting with the Head of "Norilski Nikel" Mikhail Prokhorov, he had an idea to create not only strong Russian, but successful European club."
  • -Journalist: Is connection with FC Moscow and its predecessors once and for all broken?
    -Belous: No. FC Moscow is a descendant of Torpedo-ZIL and Torpedo-Metallurg.
  • "The history of FC Moscow is still very short."

So, it seems that FC Moscow is a new team created in 2004 and, therefore, Torpedo-ZIL+Torpedo-Metallurg and FC Moscow should have different articles (like Wimbledon F.C. and Milton Keynes Dons F.C.).   Jhony  |  Talk   14:46, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

 Done :). I decided to split Torpedo-ZIL and Torpedo-Metallurg articles as well because in 2003, when Tor-Met played in Russian Premier League, another team (now known as Torpedo-RG) named Torpedo-ZIL played in Third Division (i.e. KFK).   Jhony  |  Talk   21:45, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
